A hedgehog medicine course for veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses providing a comprehensive introduction to the clinical assessment, stabilisation, and treatment of hedgehogs. Starting with emergency care, how to manage shock, hypothermia, respiratory compromise, and trauma including thermal support, and fluid administration. Delegates learn neurological exam, key dermatological conditions such as ringworm, mange, and ectoparasite‑associated dermatitis . The course also reviews internal parasites, highlighting diagnostic approaches and treatment considerations. Radiography and anaesthesia are covered in practical detail, with guidance on positioning, sedation, monitoring, and interpretation of common findings. Training concludes with an introduction to hedgehog post‑mortem examination.
